All About Woodland Davis Aeromodelers

Woodland Davis Aeromodelers was founded in 1970 as the Davis Aeromodelers using the property to the north of Davis where solar panels now sit as their first flying site.  Woodland Davis Aeromodelers came to be with the development of the Mavis Henson Field that was located just south of Woodland in the early 1980's.  The club moved to its present location in 2010 and dedicated its new site as Henson-Burgdorf Field at that time in recognition of generous contributions on the part of Mavis Henson and Fred Burgdorf in support of the club.

Since then we’ve grown as a community, and have expanded what we offer to our members. When you decide to join us, you too will gain access to our field and our flight training resources.  Most importantly, we welcome you to a group of like-minded individuals who are just as passionate as you are.  The field is located a few miles north of Davis, California. Our field offers a full range of RC activities including 60 x 800 Geotec runway and dedicated areas for U-control. The field is open seven days a week and each year we club host several AMA sanctioned events. Please feel free to visit our flying site!
